Position Summary

Gameday Event Staff is a part-time role support the execution of athletic contests and related events by providing essential operational services that enhance the experience for student-athletes, officials, and spectators. Staff may be assigned to one or more game-day functions depending on experience and event needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gameday Event Staff may serve in one or more of the following roles:

Operate or assist with scoreboard controls during athletic events

Manage game clocks and timing systems in accordance with sport rules

Retrieve balls and support pace of play during competitions

Serve as Public Address (PA) announcers, delivering game information and announcements clearly and professionally

Operate music to support game atmosphere and fan engagement

Maintain official scorebooks or statistical records during contests

Assist with ticketing operations, including admissions, scanning, and guest support

Provide general game-day support to ensure smooth event operations


Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sport-specific rules and procedures

Ability to remain focused and perform under time-sensitive conditions

Strong communication and customer service skills

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and athletic event schedules

Prior experience in athletics, event operations, or customer service preferred but not required

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


Working Conditions

Work is performed in indoor and outdoor athletic facilities

Requires standing for extended periods and active engagement during events

Schedule varies based on athletic competition calendar


In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the hourly pay for this position is $18.00 per hour. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) job responsibilities, relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and external market data when determining pay. The final hourly rate is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base pay only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
