Title of this Position: Lead Custodian
Reports To: Facilities Manager
The Lead Custodian is responsible for providing oversight and management of the facilities and facilities' team for Providence Creek Academy Charter School.

  • Community - The ability to communicate with staff, students, and the larger community to create a positive and safe atmosphere for all.

Major Responsibilities Include:
Under the supervision of the Head of School, the Lead Custodian will:
  1. Supports the Facilities Manager in supervising and inspecting the work of custodial/maintenance employees.
  2. Plans, schedules and supervises the completion of work; assigns and monitors work
  3. assignments to assure that they are being performed in accordance with accepted standards; establishes and modifies work methods in conjunction with the Facilities Manager.
  4. Ensures compliance with established regulatory standards concerning safe use and application of chemical supplies (OSHA).
  5. Supports school policies and procedures and the achievement of school initiatives.
  6. Establishes professional and effective working relationships including the following:
  7. Maintain clear communication with the Facilities Manager, Head of School, and Business Office.
  8. Works with outside contractors and school custodial/maintenance personnel in the delivery of grounds and maintenance services and upkeep of buildings.
  9. Responds to school staff requests and student and community needs.
  10. Addresses concerns and complaints; provides information and/or assistance.

5. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, repair, and cleaning
  • 1+ years of experience of management
  • Experience and understanding of applicable state/federal codes, fire/safety laws, and OSHA

Education:
  • High School Diploma

Skills
Ability to:
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with various levels of staff
  • Hold others accountable
  • Understand and implement protocols, procedures, and policies passed down through the state, federal government, and school.
  • Remain organized with systems for repairs, replacements, building codes, security system, fire code, and employees.
  • Complete all required deadlines efficiently.
  • Collect and maintain all required documents and update all necessary operating systems

Compensation:
This position will require approximately 30 hours per week per week for a full 12 months in the evening.
Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications.
