Job description

Overview:
The Part Time Parking Lot Operations Supervisor position, responsible for providing field support and overseeing the overall conduct of the Parking Cashiers & Parking Attendants to ensure that all functions of the parking lot operations are carried out in a correct, safe and timely manner as directed by the Ballpark Operations management team. The Part Time Parking Lot Operations Supervisor will ensure that all company funds are properly accounted for daily by counting, reconciling and depositing the days' cash in accordance with company policy. They must know their area of responsibility as well as those of their team and ensure a proper flow of communication. This position is Part Time and is for all events pertaining to Angel stadium events (above and beyond baseball).
The pay rate for this position is $19.95 an hour. This position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment), 401k employee contribution participation after 3 months of employment and complimentary tickets to games (12 per season).
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Initiates, plans, and schedules the work, activities and resources of crews or employees.
  • Instructs and trains employees in the performance of their duties and in the proper use of equipment.
  • Coordinates work between flaggers and cashiers to ensure arrival and departure efficiencies.
  • Evaluates the work, activities and work resources of crews or employees in the assigned division/area.
  • Evaluates any new work assignments, confirms work details with parking manager prior to shift starting.
  • Schedules and assigns active work orders within the assigned area and monitors capabilities of the assigned staff.
  • Makes labor decisions within the assigned area as it relates to breaks meals or early dismissals.
  • Manage and reconcile the cash vault which includes issuing cash banks, performing cash audits and balancing Cashier Daily Report, preparing deposits and identify and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Ensures all employees are using the timekeeping system correctly by identifying timecard errors and collecting corrected timecards from staff
  • Enforces departmental policies, procedures and safety rules and regulations,
  • Confirms set up crews have deployed equipment according within the assigned area.
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment

    • Trouble shooting parking devices
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 1-year of direct Customer Service Experience
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Prior experience handling cash transactions and balancing a cash fund is preferred
  • Ability to communicate with and listen to diverse populations
  • Must be able to maintain a positive and professional attitude while handling difficult situations
  • Ability to operate a 10-key calculator and currency counters
  • Basic Computer and Microsoft Office use and knowledge required
    • Ability to use Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Ability to learn scheduling system ABIMM
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all team members across all departments.
  • Ability to react appropriately in emergency and high stress situations.
  • Available to work varied schedule which includes Nights, weekends and Holidays
  • Must have valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 3 years
  • Must pass a post offer background check and credit check due to handling large monetary transactions

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use hands and arms to direct guests
  • Ability to work outdoors, in direct sunlight and occasionally in inclement weather.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces (parking lot)
  • Ability to drive golf carts and/or scooters safely through parking lot
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
