Hospitalist NP/PA Swing Shift - Aberdeen and Bel Air locations
Adfinitas Health has part-time, full-time and PRN opportunities for experienced NPs and PAs to join our hospitalist team on the Swing shift.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our hospitalist team provides inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge.
  • Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records
  • Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards
  • Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Full-service hospitalist practice at University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen
  • Part of the University of Maryland Medical System
  • University hospital with excellent specialty support
  • Average 15 patients/day
  • Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes
  • Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Beds 257
  • Trauma Level - Level II
  • Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • Responsibilities include providing acute inpatient care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge. Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners work side by side with our physicians as clinical colleagues
  • APPs are encouraged to work at the top of their license. We offer a robust, personally tailored and highly acclaimed onboarding program

REQUIREMENTS
  • 1+ years acute inpatient experience as an advanced practice provider
  • Strong inpatient skill set
  • Quality-focused team player
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
  • Active license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration, BLS and ACLS
  • Salary Range: $120k - $140k
