A Part Time Genetic Counselor provides genetic counseling services on a reduced-hours basis, helping patients understand genetic risks, test results, and family medical histories. They may work in hospitals, clinics, private practices, or remotely, offering guidance on inherited conditions and reproductive options. Responsibilities are similar to full-time roles but with a flexible schedule.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the part time genetic counselor position?

To thrive as a Part Time Genetic Counselor, you typically need a master's degree in genetic counseling, certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC), and a solid understanding of human genetics and medical ethics.
