Is it possible to have a full-time job and part-time?

To succeed in part-time or full-time roles, candidates generally need strong time management, reliability, and basic job-specific competencies, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant experience. Familiarity with workplace technologies such as point-of-sale systems, office software, or industry-specific tools is often expected. Standout employees exhibit adaptability, teamwork, and effective communication. These abilities ensure efficient performance, positive workplace relationships, and the capacity to meet job expectations in a variety of settings.

Why is Gen Z struggling to get jobs?

Gen Z faces challenges in securing jobs due to high competition, limited work experience, and employers' preference for candidates with more established skills. Many entry-level positions require digital literacy, soft skills, and adaptability, which can be barriers for some young job seekers. Additionally, economic factors and changing hiring practices impact their employment opportunities.

How do part-time and full-time positions typically differ in terms of responsibilities and opportunities for advancement?

Part-time roles often focus on specific tasks or projects with a set number of scheduled hours, while full-time employees usually have broader responsibilities and more opportunities to participate in long-term projects. Full-time positions are more likely to offer benefits, structured career development, and clear advancement pathways within the organization. However, some companies do offer flexible career growth opportunities to high-performing part-time staff, especially if they express interest in transitioning to full-time roles. Both work arrangements require effective collaboration with team members, but full-time employees may be more involved in cross-departmental projects and decision-making processes.

What does 'Part Time Full Time' mean in a job listing?

'Part Time Full Time' typically refers to job opportunities that offer both part-time and full-time positions, or roles that have flexible hours where an employee may be able to choose between part-time or full-time work schedules. Employers use this term to attract a wider range of applicants who may prefer different work arrangements. It's important to review the specific job description or speak with the employer to understand which options are available and what the expectations are for hours and benefits.
