Job description

We want you to join our team! Come work for the Iron County School District in Cedar City, UT and help to make a difference in the lives of students and families in your community!  
South Elementary is seeking TWO Part Time Lunch Monitor Paraprofessional to work 10 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled.
The Part Time Lunch Monitor assists school personnel with monitoring student activities and behavior on the playground and in the lunchroom.



  • Monitors and provides support, encouragement, and assistance to elementary students during breakfast and or lunch activities and on the playground.
  • Supervises playground/recreational activities, including individual use of equipment and participation in group games.
  • Assists in maintaining order and decorum in the lunchroom, reinforcing student manners, eating habits, and cleanup procedures.
  • Assists in providing a safe environment for students during playground and breakfast/lunch periods.
  • Enforces safety rules, appropriate behavior standards, and school playground/lunchroom policies.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required
  • Communicate issues with the School Principal.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google docs and check email frequently. Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
