Student employee must:
  • Demonstrate:
    • commitment to providing professional, courteous, and student-centered customer service.
    • strong attention to detail, including the ability to maintain accurate records and connect students with appropriate campus resources.
    • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) and the ability to learn and effectively use institutional software systems.
  • Possess ability to:
    • maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.
    • work both independently and collaboratively while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
    • maintain a reliable work schedule, including occasional evenings or special events, as needed.

Summary of Duties:
Student employment provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while supporting campus programs and services
In this position, the student will
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students, providing timely, accurate, and student-centered support through in-person, telephone, live chat, email, and outreach communications.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment by assisting students in the Gateway lobby, responding to inquiries, providing information, and connecting students with appropriate campus resources and services.
  • Utilize institutional systems, knowledge resources, and communication tools to research and resolve student questions, document interactions, and maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with FERPA and confidentiality requirements.
  • Support daily operations by utilizing student information systems, customer relationship management tools, document management systems, and Microsoft applications to deliver efficient, responsive, and high-quality service that promotes student success and engagement.
