Job description

Position Details
The Department of Biology in the College of Natural & Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time positions as non-majors and introductory biology for majors instructors.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Teach one or more non-majors biology lecture sections or majors introductory biology lecture or lab sections meeting 3 hours per week for a semester.
2. The lecture textbook may be selected by the instructor for non-majors courses.
3. Assist students both in and out of the classroom.
4. Create syllabus for students each semester using learning outcome guidelines provided by department, designed to meet general education goals of the University.
5. Provide meeting time for students as needed.
6. Administer and grade examinations and assignments.
7. Manage online/paperwork grading system as needed.
8. Assessment and reporting of student progress related to general education goals of the University.
The successful candidate will have:
1. A minimum of a Master's Degree in Biology or related field, Ph.D. strongly preferred.
2. Experience teaching non-majors/introductory biology preferred.
