Are you passionate about working with high school and college-aged students? Do you have a keen attention to detail? Are you an effective communicator? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are looking for a Testing Assistant (Part-Time) to join our team. As a testing assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students and ensuring the smooth operation of assessment centers. Responsibilities include administering exams, tracking distance learning exams, completing data entry, virtually proctoring exams, and interacting with students, faculty, and staff. Flexibility, effective communication, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, coupled with previous testing responsibilities and at least 1 year of documented work experience in the areas of customer service and/or education. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive student-oriented attitude with the ability to work with a diverse student population while maintaining strict accuracy and be detail-oriented.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, this position assists in providing testing services at the College. Duties include: scheduling, proctoring, and recording test scores for any exams delivered by the Assessment Services Department; providing information to students about Assessment Centers and Tutoring Centers; and providing registration support for students
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedules exams; provides basic information to students; proctors exams; and records test results.
  • Assists in exam registration for students.
  • Records student visit and score information for Assessment Center.
  • Maintains student records for the Assessment Centers.
  • Pass and maintain testing certifications as needed.
  • Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The qualifications and skill requirements for this position include:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution;
  • One (1) year of documented work experience in the areas of customer service and/or education.
  • Previous testing responsibilities preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict accuracy and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to deal with confidential reports;
  • Positive student-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population.
  • Strong technology skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
