Guest Interventionist (K-5) - Lavern Gaynor Elementary (LGE)
Description:
The School District is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Guest Interventionists for the 2026-2027 school year. This grant-funded position provides schools with additional personnel to support direct student tutoring focused on closing achievement gaps and accelerating student reading achievement.
During the school day, a part-time hourly interventionist position has been created to provide tutoring and intervention services. Guest Interventionists may work no more than twenty (20) hours per week.
Job Summary:
The Guest Interventionist will work under the direction of the classroom teacher and/or designated school administrator to provide tutoring and intervention support to students. Instruction may be provided to individual students and/or small groups.
Minimum Requirements:
-Ability to follow provided lesson plans, instructional materials, and tutoring protocols with consistency and fidelity.
-Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness and literacy skills.
-Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group instructional settings.
-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff.
-Ability to participate in required training and apply instructional strategies and routines introduced through training.
Special Note:
This position is a part-time, hourly, at-will, non-benefited, grant-funded position for the 2026-2027 school year and is contingent upon continued grant funding.
