VACANCY DESCRIPTION:High Point Christian School (HPCS) is seeking a candidate to support our classroom teachers for the 2026-2027 school year.The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. This position is part-time (about 12-20 hours per week) and serves the general education of our school to provide support, primarily, in the elementary classroom and supervise recess/lunch. If there is any interest in also serving our student services department and students with special needs, a higher FTE may be available.

High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area. Our schools offer safe, caring and Christ-centered environments for grades 3K-8th.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Shows evidence of Christian maturity
  • Has a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education
  • Meets any State and ACSI requirements and qualifications for assistant teachers (classes available)
  • Desire to work with students in all capacities
  • High school diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree with credits in education from an accredited college and/or university
  • Three to five years of experience with students
  • Basic first aid and CPR/AED training

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • $17.00 per hour
  • Tuition Discount available for dependent children of employees
  • 12-20 Hours a week (0.3-0.5 FTE)
