Job description

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for student workers in a variety of student employment positions.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, student work provides part-time limited employment for students, providing real life learning and work experience. Positions are available throughout the academic year in a variety of office, lab, classroom or activity settings. Duties will vary by department. Hours are determined around the student's class schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Must be an enrolled SWIC student in at least 6 Financial Aid eligible credit hours during fall and spring semesters and 1 Financial Aid eligible credit hour during the summer.
  2. Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and 67% or higher completion rate.
  3. Must have a 26-27 FAFSA on file.

STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$15.00/hr., up to 20 hours/week
WORK LOCATION
Positions available district-wide.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Positions will be filled on an on-going, as need basis. Applications will be kept for review for the 2026-2027 academic year.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Students will submit the online application (please attach a resume/cover letter if you have one) and complete a 2026-2027 FAFSA on the Federal Student Aid website. Pell Grant eligibility does not determine eligibility for student employment.
