Start Date: 7/6/2026

Overview
We are seeking experienced FinTech Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the design, build, and launch of a next-generation banking and payments platform. This initiative is transforming a single-country solution into a scalable, configurable, and regulator-ready fintech ecosystem for deployment across Africa, the Middle East, and additional global markets.
This is a unique opportunity to help architect and operationalize a greenfield core platform-not a legacy retrofit-while enabling repeatable country launches at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Design & Architecture
  • Provide domain expertise to support the design of a configurable, multi-tenant fintech platform
  • Contribute to defining capabilities such as:
    • Multi-currency support
    • Multi-rail payments (ACH, RTGS, cards, wallets, etc.)
    • Compliance-by-design frameworks
    • Embedded observability and monitoring
  • Partner with architecture and engineering teams to ensure platform scalability, configurability, and regulatory alignment

Payments & Banking Expertise
  • Advise on end-to-end money movement flows across domestic and cross-border rails
  • Define integration patterns with banks, payment processors, and third-party providers
  • Support payment orchestration, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting capabilities
  • Guide product design across retail, commercial, and embedded finance use cases

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
  • Interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support development of reusable compliance "packs" for country deployments
  • Ensure platform capabilities align with KYC, AML, fraud, and data residency requirements
  • Partner with risk and compliance teams to embed controls within core platform workflows

Country Implementation Support
  • Work within implementation pods focused on specific market launches
  • Support configuration of the platform to meet local regulatory, operational, and integration requirements
  • Guide licensing readiness, partner onboarding, and in-market deployment activities
  • Contribute to a repeatable "country launch factory" approach

Operating Model & Delivery
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable operating model for platform and country rollout
  • Collaborate within a tiered governance and delivery structure across multiple workstreams
  • Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and best practices for future deployment waves

Required Experience
  • 7-15+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or payments
  • Deep expertise in one or more areas:
    • Core banking platforms
    • Payments (domestic, cross-border, real-time)
    • Fintech product development
    • Regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, risk)
    • Financial integrations and partner ecosystems
  • Experience with large-scale platform transformations or greenfield builds
  • Strong understanding of payments lifecycle and transaction processing

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multi-country or emerging market deployments (Africa, Middle East, or similar regions)
  • Familiarity with payment orchestration, payment-as-a-service, or embedded finance models
  • Exposure to cloud-native platforms, APIs, and microservices-based architectures
  • Experience working within scaled program structures or multi-vendor environments
  • Ability to operate across both strategic advisory and hands-on execution

Compensation and Benefits
Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is 120-135. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veterans' status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws. Slalom will also consider qualified applications with criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.

selection process. Please advise the talent acquisition team if you require accommodations during the interview process.
