Physician Credentialing Specialist (Part-Time)

Employment Type: Part-Time | W2 Employee

Compensation: $40–$50 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Location: Remote

Position Summary

Maiden Lane Medical is seeking an experienced Physician Credentialing Specialist

to oversee provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and recredentialing for our growing

multi-specialty practice. This role is responsible for ensuring physicians and advanced

practice providers are enrolled with commercial and government payers in a timely and

accurate manner to support uninterrupted patient care and revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities

â—Ź Manage initial credentialing and recredentialing for physicians and advanced

practice providers.

â—Ź Complete and submit payer enrollment applications for commercial insurance

plans, Medicare, and Medicaid.

â—Ź Maintain and update provider information in CAQH and other credentialing

databases.

â—Ź Monitor application status and proactively follow up with insurance payers to

expedite approvals.

â—Ź Track credentialing expirations, including licenses, DEA registrations, board

certifications, malpractice insurance, and payer recredentialing deadlines.

â—Ź Coordinate with providers to obtain required documentation and signatures.

â—Ź Maintain accurate credentialing files and ensure compliance with regulatory and

payer requirements.

â—Ź Collaborate with Operations, Revenue Cycle, and Clinical Leadership regarding

provider enrollment status.

â—Ź Develop and maintain credentialing reports and dashboards, including:

â—‹ New applications submitted

â—‹ Pending applications

â—‹ Approved enrollments

â—‹ Recredentialing deadlines

â—‹ Providers awaiting payer approval

â—Ź Assist with provider credentialing and payer enrollment for new practice

locations, telehealth services, and multi-state expansion initiatives.

â—Ź Identify opportunities to improve credentialing workflows and reduce enrollment

turnaround times.

Qualifications

â—Ź Minimum 3 years of physician credentialing experience required.

â—Ź Experience credentialing physicians and advanced practice providers with

commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid.

â—Ź Strong knowledge of CAQH ProView, NPPES, PECOS, and payer enrollment

processes.

â—Ź Experience working with multi-specialty medical practices preferred.

â—Ź Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

â—Ź Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.

â—Ź Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credentialing software.

Preferred Qualifications

â—Ź Experience supporting multi-state medical practices and/or telehealth

organizations preferred.

â—Ź Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar electronic health record systems.

â—Ź Experience with New York and multi-state payer enrollment.
