GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Previous experience working with disadvantaged students

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and state of Mississippi certification

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following.

Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.

Conduct orientation workshops for students, parents, community, and other related entities.
Screen applicants for participant eligibility.
Refer ineligible students to appropriate or alternative services
Maintain participant files
Meet with UB Director and target school principal regularly
Conduct participant follow-up surveys
Participate in in-service meetings
Work with target school counselors in coordinating project activities
Perform other duties as required to achieve program goals and objectives
