Drivers typically transport these trailers between locations for customers, dealerships, or manufacturers, often working flexible hours or on-call. This job may require a suitable truck with a fifth wheel hitch and a valid driver's license, depending on the trailer's size. It's a popular option for those seeking supplemental income or semi-retirement work, as it offers flexibility and travel opportunities.

Since routes and clients can change frequently, drivers need to be flexible and proactive in communication with dispatchers and customers. Staying organized, maintaining accurate records, and regularly inspecting equipment help ensure smooth operations and safety on the road. Building strong relationships with clients and team members can also ease transitions between assignments and lead to more consistent work opportunities.
