Job description
This position is in Office of the Administrator (OA), Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), Special Investigations and Operations Division (SIOD). The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, an analytical thinker with strong oral and written communication skills, experience conducting administrative investigations, labor employee relations, strategic planning, managing personnel, and working with high-level staff.
Qualifications:Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
- Planning, managing, coordinating and/or conducting administrative investigations into allegations of misconduct and harassment involving agency personnel, contractors, property, facilities and information; and
- Supervising and directing a team of investigators ensuring compliance, quality, completeness, professionalism, fairness and impartiality in the conducting of investigations by subordinate staff; and
- Preparing and editing comprehensive reports, documenting allegations and findings within established timeframes and briefs results to senior leadership and appropriate external officials.
