Part Time Federal Government information

How to make 2000 a week working from home?

Part-time federal government jobs typically do not pay $2000 weekly due to their structured pay scales and limited hours. To earn that amount from home, individuals often need to take on multiple remote roles, freelance work, or specialized consulting that leverages skills such as writing, programming, or data analysis. Building a diverse income stream and developing in-demand skills can help achieve higher weekly earnings remotely.

What should I expect in terms of work schedule and flexibility in a part time federal government position?

Part time federal government jobs typically offer set weekly hours, ranging between 16 to 32 per week, often with a consistent schedule; however, some positions may provide limited flexibility depending on agency needs and the specific role. You may work mornings, afternoons, or specific days of the week, and requests for schedule adjustments or remote work are handled according to government policies. While deadlines, teamwork, and protocol adherence remain important, part time staff often experience a supportive environment with clearly defined duties. This structure can be ideal for those seeking work-life balance, supplemental income, or a gradual introduction to federal service.

What is a Part Time Federal Government job?

A Part Time Federal Government job is a position within a federal agency that requires fewer hours than a full-time role, typically less than 40 hours per week. These positions may offer flexible schedules and are available in various fields, including administration, law enforcement, and healthcare. While part-time employees may receive some benefits, such as prorated leave and federal retirement contributions, they may not be eligible for full benefits like health insurance. Part-time federal jobs can be competitive and often require U.S. citizenship, background checks, and specific qualifications.

What is the 70 30 rule in hiring?

The 70/30 rule in hiring refers to the practice of allocating 70% of interview questions or evaluation criteria to job-related skills and 30% to personality or cultural fit. For part-time federal government positions, this balance helps ensure candidates meet technical requirements while aligning with agency values and work environment expectations.

Can I work part-time for the federal government?

Yes, the federal government offers part-time positions in various agencies, often requiring specific qualifications and security clearances. These roles can include flexible schedules and are available in fields such as administrative support, cybersecurity, and research. Applicants should review individual job announcements for eligibility and application requirements.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Some high-paying freelance or entrepreneurial roles, such as real estate investors, online business owners, or consultants, can earn $10,000 or more per month without a formal degree. These jobs typically require strong skills, experience, and self-motivation, and income can vary widely based on effort and market conditions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Part Time Federal Government position, and why are they important?

To succeed in a part time federal government role, candidates generally need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant experience. Familiarity with government record-keeping systems, office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, and, for some roles, security clearance, is frequently required. Strong communication, reliability, and adaptability help individuals work effectively within structured teams and diverse workplace cultures. These skills ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in fulfilling vital government functions on a part-time basis.

Job description

Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice built to combine the stability of a hospital practice with the clinical autonomy of private practice.

This role is designed for psychiatrists who want:

  • Predictable, W-2 compensation and benefits

  • Flexible scheduling, control over their schedule, session structure, and patient population

  • Minimal administrative burden in a fully remote, outpatient model

What your day-to-day practice looks like:

  • 100% remote, outpatient psychiatry

  • Lower to moderate acuity populations (ex. anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD)

  • Patient population across the lifespan: children & adolescents (treated by board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists only), adults, and geriatric patients

  • Standard session lengths (60-minute intakes, 30-minute follow-ups)

  • No inpatient, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization care or crisis coverage

  • In-house referral network to therapists

  • Full operational support, including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing

Clinical autonomy & flexibility:

  • Control over schedule and weekly availability

  • Session length within established clinical standards

  • Patient population, balanced to individual criteria and preferences

  • Clinical decision-making without pressure to shorten visits or increase volume

Benefits & stability :

  • Employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance (up to 100% of premiums)

  • Malpractice coverage (occurrence-based, 100% employer-paid)

  • 401(k) match with employer match and Day 1 vesting

  • Paid time off (PTO), paid sick time, and 11 paid holidays

  • Paid parental leave and long-term retention benefits (ex. 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years)

  • CME reimbursement and dedicated CME days

  • Licensing support with upfront coverage of costs

  • Technology package provided

What we’re looking for:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists (MD/DO)

  • Active, unrestricted medical license (multi-state licensing support available)

  • Interest in outpatient, 100% telepsychiatry-based care

  • Comfort with learning streamlined clinical technology

  • Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and collaborative mindset

Full-time and part-time W-2 employment

Total annual on-target earnings of $325k - $375k+, consisting of:

  • Base salary

  • Monthly productivity incentive (guaranteed during initial 6-month onboarding period)

Our history

Talkiatry was founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, and Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing care. Together, they set out to reimagine outpatient psychiatry by building a model that supports both patients and clinicians, while expanding access to mental healthcare.

Our culture

Our clinical community includes 800+ psychiatrists and PMHNPs and 350+ therapists practicing across 32 languages.

From Talkiatry

About Talkiatry, in their own words

From Talkiatry

We believe great psychiatric care starts with supporting the people who provide it. Too often, psychiatrists are forced to choose between autonomy and stability, meaningful patient care and administrative burden, professional fulfillment and work-life balance.

Founded by a psychiatrist, Talkiatry was designed to be different. Our virtual care model combines clinical autonomy with the support, structure, and resources needed to build a sustainable career. Through dedicated administrative support, thoughtful technology, and a collaborative clinical community, we help psychiatrists spend less time navigating healthcare systems and more time focused on patient care.
