Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part Time Grants & Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the management of grant programs, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support procurement and vendor management activities. The Grants & Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the organization maintains full compliance with federal, state, and private grant requirements. This position oversees grant reporting, time and effort documentation, reimbursement submissions, and fiscal compliance processes.

This role is critical to maintaining funding integrity, supporting audit readiness, and ensuring accurate allocation of grant-funded resources across programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage grant project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal acquisition regulations and other procurement standards
  • Oversee vendor management processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring
  • Review and draft legal documents such as contracts, memoranda of understanding, and procurement proposals using technical writing skills
  • Support procurement activities by assisting with public sector purchasing procedures and pricing strategies
  • Conduct research on procurement regulations, grant guidelines, and legal requirements to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal teams on change management initiatives related to contract updates or process improvement
  • Assist in proposal writing for new grants or business development opportunities to expand organizational impact
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to align procurement and grant activities with organizational goals
  • Prepare and submit reimbursement requests for all funding sources
  • Ensure all grant expenditures are properly documented, allowable, and allocable
  • Track and monitor grant budgets, expenditures, and spending timelines
  • Assist with grant budget development and revisions

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, or contract administration within a public sector or federal environment
  • Ability to interpret compliance requirements related to not for profit contracts
  • Excellent research skills combined with technical writing proficiency for proposal development and documentation purposes

  • Strong negotiation skills paired with strategic planning capabilities to support business development efforts
