Job description

Every year, Community College of Vermont employs hundreds of part-time faculty to teach its courses at 12 locations statewide and online, and we are always looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable teachers. All our faculty work part-time. Faculty can teach a single course or up to a maximum of three courses each semester.

The Community College of Vermont is Vermont’s second largest college, serving over 10,000 students each year.  With twelve locations and extensive online learning opportunities, our students don’t have to travel far from their communities to access our degree and certificate programs, workforce, secondary and continuing education opportunities, and academic and veterans support services. Our mission is to support and challenge all students in meeting their educational goals through an abiding commitment to access, affordability, and student success. We are passionate about nurturing a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive learning and working environment.

We are looking for part-time faculty interested in teaching courses in the following subject areas for our Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters: 

Foundations of Math | Math & Algebra for College | Intermediate Algebra  |  Applied Math Concepts |  Finite Math  |  College Algebra  |  Pre-Calculus  |  Statistics  |  Calculus I  and Calculus II

The budgeted wage for this position is $4,365 per 3-credit course.
