RN Occupational Health (Part-Time)
Job Description
Cape Fox subsidiary Concentric Methods is seeking an Occupational Health Registered Nurse (Part-time) in support of our contract with the US Postal Inspection Service (USPIS). This position is a hybrid position of 3 remote days and 2 in-office. The schedule will be Monday through Friday. The RN will oversee and manage the implementation and compliance of Occupational Medical and Health Services programs and initiatives of assigned territory.
The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position, $69.56 up to 20 hours per week is comprised of a base hourly rate of $64.63 plus $4.93 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 20 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. The above rate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn
Required:
10 -15 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
5 - 7 years' experience creating and implementing projects and leading project management teams.
Must be able to analyze and organize information pertinent for executive summary and presentations.
Proficient in Excel and preparing date graphic presentations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the implementation of national Occupational Medical and Health Services programs, policies and initiatives (e.g., wellness program, medical suitability, medical case management, employee medical records custodianship, regulatory compliance, and emergency medical response).
  • Must be able to operate independently and proactively.
  • Schedule and process random and pre-employment drug tests.
  • Request and process pre-employment medical and psychological exams.
  • Request and process fitness for duty medical and psychiatric exams.
  • Enter information on spreadsheets for a variety of medical services department programs.
  • Plan and provide support for local training and conferences.
  • Provide guidance and policy interpretation on federal law and USPS policies and procedures for work-related injuries limitations and the return-to-work efforts.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA) or a state worker's compensation program at a level sufficient to ensure Occupational Health Services (OHS) support and compliance
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of Occupational Health Services (OHS) policies and procedures regarding medical suitability and required physical examinations and applicant processing.
  • Assist and guide the Reasonable Accommodation Committee within the area of responsibility related to non-injury compensation issues to ensure compliance with USPS policies and procedures as outlined in the EL-307.
  • Serve as the contracting officer representative (COR) and primary point of contact (POC) for medical services contracts.
  • Develop statement of work, evaluate proposals, monitor and manage contracts and for various programs. Enter information on spreadsheets for variety of medical services department programs
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health Services (OHS) policies and procedures at a level sufficient to ensure area-wide compliance with the following but not limited to Department of Transportation (DOT) programs, medical examinations (fitness for duty), applicant medical requirements, and return-to-duty medical guidance.
  • Knowledge of Rehabilitation Act or reasonable accommodation at a level sufficient to support compliance while maintaining medical confidentiality.
  • Assist with IS Operational Medical Support Program by requesting and stocking medical supplies for training and deployment.
  • May be required to go to Potomac, MD training academy up to a maximum of 2 days per week to work.
  • May on occasion be required to assist with hepatitis vaccinations for Inspector and Postal Police Officer students.
  • May on occasion be required to travel to Summit Point, WV and New Castle, DE training facilities

Job Requirements
  • Must have 10-15 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Must have 5-7 years' experience creating and implementing projects and leading project management teams.
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). With a degree in associate's degree in nursing OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel and in data graphic presentations.
  • Prefer board-certification as Occupation Health Nurse COHN/S.
  • Licensure from a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Possess and maintain a current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
