Job Description

We’re looking for a hands‑on Safety Manager to play a key role in shaping safety culture across our growing manufacturing facilities. This is a high‑visibility role where you’ll partner directly with leadership, work closely with employees on the production floor, and drive initiatives that make a measurable difference in how work gets done safely every day.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute safety strategies across three manufacturing locations
  • Drive a proactive, behavior‑based safety culture by partnering with leadership to integrate safety into daily operations
  • Serve as a trusted safety resource across all departments
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs
  • Ensure OSHA & EPA compliance, reporting, and recordkeeping
  • Manage hazard communication programs, including SDS and chemical safety
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Monitor workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs
  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts and serve as a first responder
  • Spend significant time on the production floor engaging employees and identifying improvement opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Environmental / Occupational Health and Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments developing safety programs, training, and procedures
  • Strong working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental compliance regulations, EPA required permits, recordkeeping, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Self‑motivated, hands‑on, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
