Location:Codman Estate, Lincoln, Massachusetts; Lyman Estate, Waltham, Massachusetts; Eustis Estate, Milton Massachusetts


Description: Historic New England seeks functions associates responsible for supervising event and function rentals at three properties in Metro Boston,. The Functions Associate is responsible for opening the property, meeting and assisting vendors, and greeting and directing guests, as well as monitoring events and making sure that vendors are working within Historic New Englands site requirements. Supervises and monitors functions including pre-function setup, guest arrival, vendor/guest activity, guest departure, and vendor departure.

Qualifications: Requires an associates degree and at least three years of job-related experience. Must be personable and enjoy working with people. Requires a high degree of skill and experience in presenting and selling to prospective clients. Ability and desire to work with the public with the highest standards for customer service. Requires exceptional tact, diplomacy, personal presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work well under stress/pressure while remaining calm and focused. Requires strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
This is a year-round, part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with weekend and evening work frequently required. Due to the scheduling nature of events, a high level of flexibility is required.
