Want to design and improve Fort Wayne's water systems while working part-time?

Position: Designer I & II - PT Water Pay: Designer I: $29.27 - $37.00/hr | Designer II: $32.20 - $40.00/hr Schedule: Up to 29 hours per week (varies) Location: City Utilities Engineering, Fort Wayne, IN

What You'll Do:

  • Collect, analyze, and verify project data for water system improvements
  • Draft construction plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software
  • Assist with planning, design, and construction engineering projects under supervision
  • Manage project documentation and PMIS records, including permits and easement acquisition
  • Coordinate with City staff and Capital Project Services to resolve project issues

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology, and engineering design principles
  • Strong computer skills, including drafting and spreadsheet software
  • Valid Indiana Driver's License
