Description:

Position Purpose: Designers are responsible for creating detailed plans using Mitek software for roof and floor trusses to be used in construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and design software.

Primary Role Expectations:

  • Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Produce detailed placement plans and truss designs using plans and specifications to meet the customer needs and building codes.
  • Produce accurate production ready truss layouts, design drawings, and estimates.
  • Support the sales team with excellent customer service (internal and external)
  • Work with professional engineers for truss design and repair details.
  • Communicate with customers and sales staff to gather information necessary to complete projects accurately.
  • Maintain communication with customers and management as needed to meet production deadlines.
  • Communicate specifications with the production team to ensure timely production.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in roof and floor truss design for residential projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of wood products, engineered wood products, building codes, and building construction materials and methods.
  • Knowledge of design, production, and sales of manufactured trusses and related products.
  • Ability to read blueprints and visualize details in three dimensions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Alpine software

Compensation details: 70000-80000 Yearly Salary
