Job description

ย Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Therapy Aide II (Activities/Life Enrichment) at Allentown & Fountain Hill locations.
  • Evenings & weekends may be required
  • Part-time approx. 20 hours not benefit eligible- 1,000/hr. year position

The TR Aide II will be part of a team responsible for planning and implementing recreational/leisure activities for residents at Cedarbrook.

Typical examples of work:

  • Evaluates and implements nursing home resident activities programming.
  • Assesses resident recreation needs and helps to develop care planning in coordination with resident's input and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Run group activities and assists team in running large events, including resident outings.
  • Works with the L.E. team and other departments, such as nursing, to ensure residents' leisure needs are met as per the care plan in an organized and safe manner.
  • Documents appropriately in the resident's chart.
  • Performs related work as required.

ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of substantiated experience working in a Long-term Care Activities or Therapeutic Recreation or Life Enrichment Department and/or a BS in Therapeutic Recreation. If multiple candidates have the same amount of required Activities/T.R./L.E. experience, then the candidate with more seniority at Cedarbrook will be chosen.
  • Educational equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Possession of a valid PA Driver's License
