Job description

Purpose & Scope:

The Employee Health Registered Nurse is responsible for direct and indirect nursing care of adults. This position requires knowledge of organizational operating policy relevant to delivery of nursing care to employee population in the healthcare environment. Interpretive skills, interactive and consultative associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. Written and oral communication skills are required. Must demonstrate a sincere interest in people, be in good health, emotionally stable, and possess initiative and resourcefulness. Must have management, leadership, consultative, and administrative skills necessary for program development, marketing and evaluations.

Education:

Associate's in Nursing Required

Bachelor's in Nursing Preferred

Experience:

Three years of Nursing/Patient Care in a medical/surgical setting required

Certification/Licensure:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required or,

Compact State Licensure in Nursing required

BLS certification required
