THE OPPORTUNITY: THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION IN DETROIT LAKES, MN. No remote opportunities for this position.

Working collaboratively with our customers and 60+ artists makes us happy. We strive to continually stay on-trend, creating over 200,000 new designs in the last 5 years and 26,000 design modifications yearly. Our techniques include: screenprint, embroidery, applique, heat press, foil, acid gel, softwash, sublimation, and pretty much everything else under the Minnesota sun. Whew! We're currently looking for Floor Support Artists to work under the direction of the Art Manager to provide art support to the screenprint production floor and to help identify issues in order to uphold and maintain the standards within each division.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm

Pay : $18/hr


Essential Job Functions | Coordinate + Update + Collaborate

  • Coordinate the burning of screens if they are damaged or missing from the screenprint cell
  • Update designs as necessary to follow Lakeshirts standards
  • Work with production to create the best quality product for our customers.
  • Record errors to help with artist knowledge in creating production-ready files
  • Actively reduce waste in department/lean processes
  • Work closely with leads to uphold standards to be communicated with artists/production
  • Communicate inconsistencies in standards to the Art Manager
  • Daily tasks will be determined by art/production requirements:
    • DTS (Direct-to-Screen) sending, Namedrop, Proofing, Art Comps
  • Hours are determined by production work schedule

Qualifications | Adobe Illustrator + Detail-Oriented + Team Player

  • 2-year or 4-year degree in Graphic Design with Adobe Illustrator proficiency required
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • High attention to detail
  • Independent decision making skills with reason and good judgment
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Must be reliable, responsible, flexible and take direction well
  • Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and follow through
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
