Job description

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.  

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:


As a systems engineer for CWL, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the system engineering and functional design of the system under development, addressing topics such as payload integration, weapon launch interlocks, weapon simulation, message exchanges, user interfaces, and cybersecurity.  As a member of the system engineering team, the candidate will help ensure functional and technical specifications and standards are complete and accurate, delivered as required to support customer review and approval, to support system development and test.

  • B.S or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering degree from an accredited engineering school
  • At least 5 years of experience in a systems engineering role, preferably defense related
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical topics at different levels of abstraction
  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts
  • Experience developing system design and writing technical requirements including requirements derived from external sources (e.g., electrical interface specifications)
  • Experience working in an integrated cross functional team
  • Experience using DOORS or system modeling tools is a plus
