Position Purpose:
To provide quality support for the Athletics varsity sports programs and recreation departments, supporting athletics game management, special events for community groups, and organizing sports recreation opportunities for members of the LCC community.
Essential Functions:
  • Building and maintaining game day rosters for both teams.
  • Managing and keeping the Athletics website current, including athlete bios, event schedules, and coach information.
  • Coordinating game and event live-streaming.
  • Coordinating game and event concessions.
  • Organize recreation opportunities in collaboration with the Athletic Director, PE Coordinator, Wellness Coordinator, students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide supervision at recreation events.
  • Direct the work of work-study students for the athletics and recreation departments.
  • Assist with Athletics event operations, including set-up and take-down before and after events, organizing and training event volunteers, and providing additional staff supervision at games.
  • Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervision Statement:
Reports to and works under the general supervision of the Division Dean. Work may be led or coordinated by lead worker or the Athletic Director. Work is performed independently using specialized experience and training. Work is reviewed for the quality of assistance provided.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Work may require transporting materials up to fifty (50) pounds with or without support. Work safely.
