Student, Client Experience

Number of positions: 1

Term: September 26, 2026 to December 31, 2026

Schedule: 25 hours per week
Location: Ottawa, HQ (Hybrid)
Salary range: $18.15 to $30.20/hourly rate dependent on level of education

Language requirement: Bilingual

*Eligibility List: CATSA will use this opportunity to establish a list of candidates eligible to fill subsequent vacancies. The eligibility list may be used to staff other student positions with similar responsibilities and qualifications.

Summary of responsibilities:

On behalf of the organization, the Client Experience team aims to ensure a smooth and efficient screening experience for passengers by answering their questions prior to travel. Post-travel, the Client Experience team handles passenger complaints and claims through a fair, responsive, and complete review.

The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Provides administrative support for the Client Experience team by triaging voicemail and submissions through CATSA's website;

Assists with the drafting of written responses for public complaints, claims and inquiries in both official languages;

Prepares, updates and maintains electronic files;

Assists in the identification of trends in public inquiries and complaints to help improve current procedures and website and social media content.

What you need to succeed:

To qualify for the position, you must have:

Enrolled in a college diploma or a university degree program with a specialization in communications, social sciences, journalism or in a related field;

Experience in customer service and/or dealing with inquiries from the general public.

Skills and abilities:

Strong writing and editing skills;

Exceptional attention to detail;

Strong research skills;

Professional approach to work;

Excellent team player;

Working knowledge of MS Office;

Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and organize work efficiently.

To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:

Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance;

Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; and

Be returning to full-time or part-time studies in the next academic year.
