Job Description LeverageTek is actively seeking an Instructional Designer for a 6 month contract engagement with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location Remote Key Tasks Provide embedded instructional design and development support under the direction of the Team Lead, Education Design, in accordance with the education development processes, standards and priorities Transform identified learning or performance needs into feasible and engaging education solutions based on adult learning principles and a user-centred, iterative design approach Support all phases of education product development including discovery, consultation with subject matter experts and learners, design, development, review, testing, revision and finalization Design, develop, update and maintain education courses, workshops, web conferences, self-studies, job aids, multimedia and eLearning assets Produce English and French deliverables developed from approved storyboards or source materials Work as primary instructional designer or assigned design partner, including reviewing another designer's work for alignment with learning objectives, organization standards, accessibility requirements and quality expectations Coordinate assigned project activities, timelines, documentation and review cycles, and collaborate with subject matter experts, education leads and other partners Support promotion of education products by drafting promotional email copy, LinkedIn posts and internal promotional content for review and approval Apply and contribute to instructional design processes, tools, methods, standards and best practices Key Qualifications Demonstrated experience in instructional design and eLearning development across multiple formats (courses, workshops, job aids, multimedia) Proficiency in producing bilingual (English and French) education deliverables Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and user-centred, iterative design approaches Qualifications Experience coordinating project timelines, documentation and review cycles in a multi-stakeholder environment Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting with minimal supervision Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to develop education content Familiarity with accessibility standards as applied to education and eLearning content Experience drafting promotional content including email copy, LinkedIn posts and internal communications Compensation Hourly Rate Negotiable This is an existing position vacancy.
