Description Title: Lecturer (Chinese) Position Number: pending Hiring Unit: College of Arts, Languages & Letters, Dept. of East Asian Languages and Literatures Location: Manoa Date Posted: April 05, 2016 Closing Date: Continuous Salary Information: Minimum $1,978 per credit hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full Time/Part Time: Part Time Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: For placement in department adjunct lecturer pool for Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026.

Mainly part-time employment, contingent on approval to fill, course offerings (ranging from 3 to 12 credits), position clearance, availability of funds, and sufficient enrollment. Appointments offered on a semester basis. Duties and Responsibilities To teach basic language skill courses in the target language, including specialized courses in the Chinese Program.

Minimum Qualifications MA in the target language or related discipline required. High-level fluency in the target language and English. Desirable Qualifications College-level classroom experience in teaching Chinese language.
