Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for accompanying the chorus for rehearsals and concerts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must have good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Accompanies the director during rehearsals and concerts.
  2. Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
  3. Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  4. Proactively support the Districts Mission, Vision, and Values.
  5. Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.
Must have and maintain: valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; and CPR/AED certified or obtain within ninety (90) days of employment. Be a "Mandated Reporter" for the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: frequently remain in a stationary position and repetitively use hands/arms/fingers as when using a computer; occasionally move and position ones' self to move items such as music supplies, etc. up to 10 lbs.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: handle all weather conditions while traveling between facilities, frequently work indoors.
HOURS
Rehearsals take place Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (September through April with concerts in December and April).
SALARY
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour DOQ
