Job description

Friendship is looking for Drivers to join our team on a Part-Time basis! Hours and hours vary. CDL a plus! Some short weekend hours required.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CDL preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License in the state of Virginia
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move objects weighing 50 pounds
  • Use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and walk

Responsibilities:

  • Transporting residents using the Friendship bus or taxi
  • Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle in safe manner
  • Adhere to scheduled pick up and drop off times; anticipates travel times to accommodate schedules
  • Examine vehicles for cleanliness; remove any trash and clean car handles with anti-bacterial wipes after each transport
  • Adhere to vehicle maintenance standards; examine vehicles regularly and reports any maintenance or safety issues to Director immediately
  • Assist with resident activities as directed
