JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The School of Engineering at Penn State Behrend, has a need for part-time Instructors in engineering disciplines for fall (August) and spring (January). Positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than nine students may necessitate canceling the class and position. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and course materials approved by the School of Engineering to teach courses offered in our baccalaureate programs.
Required qualifications include:
-Evidence of an earned Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline or a baccalaureate degree with significant industrial experience
-Evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching including the use of current technology
-Evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commensurate with experience.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
