Our main campus is in downtown Greenville, which is a rapidly expanding city and the predominant health, entertainment, financial, and educational hub of the eastern North Carolina region. In addition, many of our students come from rural communities with their own set of challenges and perspectives.
The College of Business (COB) has been AACSB accredited for more than 40 years. We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers a BS in Hospitality Management. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 4,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. A strategic goal of the college is to create an environment where the faculty, staff, and students can thrive and be personally and professionally respected.
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management within the College of Business is a large, dynamic academic unit comprised of faculty engaged in teaching, scholarship, and service. The department serves more than 900 undergraduate majors, includes more than 20 faculty members, and offers degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Job Duties
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, in the College of Business at East Carolina University, invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position in the area of Marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2027. The position will have instructional responsibilities in the department teaching courses relevant to digital marketing, marketing communications, sports marketing, customer relationship management, or related areas. A standard teaching load is nine semester hours (three classes). A continuous stream of quality research is required for tenure. Efforts at obtaining external funding are encouraged. Service to the university/college/department, community, and profession is expected, as well as any additional duties assigned by the department chair.

Minimum Education/Experience
This appointment requires a PhD in the teaching field or related discipline from an appropriately accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. The candidate must possess the qualifications necessary to be designated a professionally qualified faculty member in accordance with AACSB standards. Candidates with PhD newly conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will be considered; ABD candidates will also be initially appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Preferred experience includes teaching and a record of scholarly publications in digital marketing, consumer behavior, CRM, or related areas.
