A Part Time Dental Utilization Review job involves evaluating dental treatment plans and claims to ensure they are medically necessary and comply with insurance policies. Professionals in this role review dental records, verify documentation, and determine whether proposed treatments are covered under a patient's insurance. The position is typically remote, requires dental knowledge—often from a dental hygienist or dentist—and involves working flexible, part-time hours. It helps insurance companies manage costs and ensure patients receive appropriate care.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective written communication help you assess claims accurately and interact professionally with providers. These competencies ensure appropriate care authorization, cost control, and regulatory compliance within dental insurance operations.
