Job description


In-Home Caregivers of Illinois is seeking a patient, engaging, and compassionate female caregiver to provide part-time support for a client with dementia. This position focuses heavily on companionship, cognitive engagement, and light daily assistance to help our client maintain a safe, active, and fulfilling routine at home.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Days: 2 days per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

  • Hours: 4 hours per shift (8 hours total per week)

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 /hr

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Cognitive Engagement: Facilitate mental stimulation exercises, memory games, and interactive activities tailored to dementia care.

    • Companionship: Provide warm, meaningful conversation and attentive supervision.

    • Meal Preparation: Assist with or prepare healthy, balanced meals.

    • Medication Reminders: Ensure daily medications are taken on time.

    • Light Housekeeping: Clean area after preping meals

    • Transportation/Errands: Drive client to local resturants, short outings, or social activities as needed with milage reimbursed.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.

  • Dementia Experience: Prior experience in memory care or dementia care is strongly preferred.

  • Key Traits: Engaging, patient, punctual, and empathetic.

Clean background check, reliable transportation, a drivers license, a negative drug screen, and a compassionate heart for the elderly.
