Job Summary
The Finance and Insurance (F&I) Consultant is responsible for representing HDFS and serving as the trusted business advisor for the H-D dealer network. They will foster and develop new and existing relationships among key stakeholders among their dealers. Within the assigned region, the F&I Consultant will seek to drive established financial and non-financial targets and maximize business opportunities and revenue among Retail Finance Programs, H-D Certified, the H-D Protection Product suite, Commercial Credit, Card Products, as well as other products and services.
Job Responsibilities
  • Complete routine dealer visits, track and review financial sales production, gross profit margin, and assess the needs and opportunities from the dealer's perspective. Meet with various department personnel to obtain critical information; facilitate debrief meetings with dealership staff, present findings and implement best practices to maximize profit and customer satisfaction. Lead and deliver dealer training as necessary.
  • Analyze sales data and F&I process to identify opportunities and implement best practices to maximize compliance, premium service, and revenue for the dealer through the presentation and sale of F&I products and services.
  • Develop a key understanding of the dealer's needs as it relates to available products, build a plan for the dealership taking a short- and long-term approach.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for the dealers. Has extensive knowledge of available products and services and can mentor dealership personnel through role-play situational training using sales process and menu presentation techniques.
  • Is a resource for the dealer principal, management, and staff to rely on for updated information and training.
  • Acquire additional region and industry knowledge via continuing education and training opportunities as provided by the Company.
  • Liaison between all stakeholders, including finance and insurance product providers, various Company departments, the dealership network, and other liaisons.
  • Protection of information and compliance with the law are paramount. Protecting employee, customer, and corporate information is everyone's responsibility at Eaglemark Savings Bank. All employees must follow established safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, and access to information based solely on business need. Further, it is the responsibility of all employees to maintain awareness and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures, and to comply with all of them.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Preferred experience within the OEM, automotive, powersports, or financial services industry.

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and decision-making skills is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and obtain measurable without direct supervision.
  • High level of computer skills, familiarity with MS Office suite.
  • Capacity to take the initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel >75%, with overnights required.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
