Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Deal assigned games and control pace of game.
Adhere to game protection and Grand Sierra Resort & Casino dealing procedures.
Handle all bets on assigned games.
Recover players' losses and pay winners with casino gaming chips.
Deal cards and/or gaming chips to guests at various points around the table, reach for and collect bets and cards during game or at end of hand. Protect assigned game, while providing great guest service.
Interact with team members and guests in a professional and polite manner.
Monitor and maintain the integrity of the game.
Mentally perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately while game is in progress.
Adhere to all game controls and procedures as outlined in the dealer and supervisor department manual.
Ensure that table games pit and assigned games always meet the highest level of cleanliness.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors and guests.
Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and calculate figures and amounts.
Read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and team members.
Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Attend and participate in meetings in order to be informed of new rules, regulations and procedures.
Must pass a dealing audition.
Ability of complex reading, math, task completion, and simple writing skills is required.
Must have the following skills: coordination, following instructions, and memorization.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have a minimum 1 year previous dealing experience; dealing school, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally sitting, walking, crouching and constantly standing and bending over during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to constantly push/pull 10lbs or less.
The team member will frequently have repetitive use of both feet, constant repetitive use of both hands, and require constant light grasping motions, frequent dominant and constant non-dominant firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed consistently indoors frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others.
