Duration: Compensation: $30 per hour

About Us

Matters Graph is a specialist buy-side-focused consultancy that provides objective fact-based commercial due diligence and value gen support for private equity and private lender clients

About the Role

We're looking for sharp, driven individuals to join our team as a part-time Outreach Specialist to support critical consulting activities. This is not your typical part-time job - it's a chance to build real professional skills in a role that is critical to Private Equity advisory

Your mission: Find the right experts. Get them on the phone. Schedule the call. Repeat

You'll spend your days researching industries, cold calling and emailing professionals across a variety of fields - from former Fortune 500 executives to niche technical specialists - and coordinating research consultations for our consulting teams. You'll manage multiple projects at once, learn to pitch with confidence, and build skills that translate directly into careers in consulting, finance, sales, and beyond

What You'll Do

Cold call, email, and message prospective research participants to recruit them for paid expert consultations

Research and identify qualified experts using LinkedIn, industry databases, and creative sourcing techniques

Screen and qualify candidates for relevance and availability across multiple simultaneous projects

Coordinate scheduling between experts and our research team, handling all logistics and follow-ups

Track everything - maintain clean, accurate records of all outreach and project activity in our CRM

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree (Completed) or Current Junior, Senior, or Grad Student that can work 20-30 hours per week (most days of the work week)

Excellent communication skills - you're articulate, persuasive, and not afraid of the phone or talking to strangers

Resilient and persistent - cold outreach means hearing "no" a lot, and you bounce back quickly

Organized and self-directed - you can juggle 2-3 projects without dropping the ball

Available to work 20-30 hours per week at our D.C. location

Bonus points for experience in sales, fundraising, customer service, or any phone-heavy role

Why This Role?

This isn't just a part-time gig - it's a launchpad. Research Analysts will develop skills and gain highly relevant experience for a career in:

Consulting - The research skills and client exposure translate perfectly

Sales & Business Development - You'll master cold outreach and objection handling

Finance & Private Equity - You'll gain exposure to how investors make decisions

Startups & Operations - Hustle, resourcefulness, and communication are the core of this role

You'll also get:

Competitive hourly pay + performance bonuses

An exceptional professional network and resume credential

Exposure to Private Equity and Commercial Strategy Advisory

Potential to continue or convert to a full-time role
