Global Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded Donor Services Specialist to support our donors and help advance the mission of The Wesleyan Church around the world. This role serves as a key connection point between our donors and ministry, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring gifts are processed accurately and donor information is maintained with integrity.

Position Summary
The Donor Services Specialist manages donor communications, processes and records donations, maintains donor data within Salesforce and related systems, and provides administrative support to Donor Services and Finance initiatives. This position plays a vital role in fostering positive donor experiences and ensuring the accuracy and security of donor records.
Essential Responsibilities
Donor Support & Customer Service
  • Serve as the front line contact for donors and prospective donors.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding:
    • Giving options
    • Recurring gifts
    • Gift corrections
    • Online giving
    • Fund information
    • Donor account updates
  • Document donor interactions within the donor database.
  • Direct specialized requests to the appropriate team members.
Gift Processing & Data Entry
  • Process donations received via mail, ACH, checks, and credit card gifts.
  • Enter gift information accurately and promptly into Salesforce and related systems.
  • Resolve discrepancies involving donor information or fund allocations.
  • Maintain organized records of donations and gift receipts.
  • Report system issues and database concerns as needed.
Database Management
  • Update donor demographic and biographical information.
  • Adhere to established data-entry standards and procedures.
  • Ensure confidential donor information is handled and stored securely.
  • Participate in database cleanup and data-quality initiatives.
Project Support
  • Assist with reporting and special projects for Donor Services and Finance.
  • Maintain accurate and secure donor and giving information.
  • Complete assignments within established timelines and project parameters.
Team Collaboration
  • Attend training and team development opportunities.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives.
  • Provide flexible support to meet team needs and workload demands.
Qualifications
Required Experience
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience using a CRM or database management system.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar donor management software.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, ministry, church, or donor-centered environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong customer service orientation with a heart for serving donors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with database and technology platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Collaborative team player who can adapt to changing priorities.
