Part Time Data Entry focuses on inputting data into systems, emphasizing typing speed and accuracy. What are part time data processing jobs?

Part time data processing jobs involve handling, organizing, and managing data on a flexible or reduced-hour schedule. These roles typically require entering, updating, and verifying data in computer systems or databases. Common tasks may include data entry, cleaning up existing information, or generating reports. Part time positions are ideal for students, parents, or anyone seeking work-life balance, and can be found in various industries such as healthcare, finance, and retail.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Data Processing professional, and why are they important?

To thrive in Part Time Data Processing, you need strong attention to detail, accuracy, and basic computer literacy, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, database systems, and sometimes data entry platforms is typically required. Time management, reliability, and effective communication are important soft skills that help ensure consistent and error-free work. These skills are crucial for maintaining data integrity and supporting organizational efficiency in data-driven environments.

What are some common challenges faced in a part-time data processing role, and how can they be managed?

Part-time data processing professionals often encounter challenges like tight deadlines, handling large data volumes, and ensuring accuracy despite working fewer hours. Staying organized and maintaining clear communication with supervisors can help manage shifting priorities and workloads. Additionally, utilizing automation tools and regularly verifying data accuracy can streamline tasks and reduce errors, making it easier to balance responsibilities within a part-time schedule.

Data Scientist, Mid
The Opportunity:
Are you excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set? Are you fascinated by the possibilities presented by the IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence advances? In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open up new opportunities. As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors - from fraud detection, to cancer research, to national intelligence - you know the answers are in the data.
We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to support an intelligence community (IC) agency's collection and analysis operations. You'll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll write scripts to integrate data, conduct exploratory data analysis to discover hidden patterns, apply machine learning to train predictive models, and use the right combination of tools to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help mission partners make informed decisions. You'll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good in support of the IC's global mission.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience in data science, including performing quantitative analysis, developing visualizations, and processing complex data to create data-driven insights with tools like Python
  • Experience using SQL to conduct complex database queries
  • Experience using data manipulation and extract, transform, and load (ETL) procedures
  • Experience with leveraging APIs to query systems
  • Experience with developing data visualizations, dashboards, or lightweight Web applications to communicate key insights
  • Experience with communicating information to an audience with varying technical knowledge and expertise in oral or written formats
  • Experience leading junior level personnel
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and developing technical solutions to solve the challenge
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience developing dashboards using Grafana
  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related technical field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
