In support of the City's workforce, the Human Resources Department provides a full range of functions and services to over 2,700 full time and part-time employees. General Clerk III Position Overview: This is specialized clerical work associated with the administration of the City of Huntsville employee's group insurance plans, benefit programs, and health and wellness programs. Work involves the adherence to the City's policies and procedures covering the privacy of and access to employees' protected health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the City's information privacy practices.

Work is performed under the direction of a Human Resources Manager and requires considerable initiative, independent judgment, and discretion in performing various duties. Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements: High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency and considerable experience performing clerical work and data entry
