Job description

Compliance SUPERVISOR

Shift Details: Monday - Friday 8-5

What you will be doing:

  • Develops plans based on customer specifications
  • Provides rate quotes to clients
  • Reviews processes and implements new procedures
  • Assists teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues
  • Maintains positive customer relationships
  • Prepares and monitors various Customs compliance and broker management reports
  • Trains, coaches, and supervises team members
  • Manages Post Entry reviews and performs audits
  • Utilizes understanding of the proper processes to resolve problems according to industry standards
  • Monitors AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues
  • Addresses disciplinary and performance issues and complaints as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Customs Broker License preferred
  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
