What you will be doing:
- Develops plans based on customer specifications
- Provides rate quotes to clients
- Reviews processes and implements new procedures
- Assists teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues
- Maintains positive customer relationships
- Prepares and monitors various Customs compliance and broker management reports
- Trains, coaches, and supervises team members
- Manages Post Entry reviews and performs audits
- Utilizes understanding of the proper processes to resolve problems according to industry standards
- Monitors AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues
- Addresses disciplinary and performance issues and complaints as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity
- Customs Broker License preferred
- Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
