Reports To: VP of HR
Status:  Part Time 

Job Summary
The Administrative Credentialing Specialist is responsible for supporting the credentialing and recredentialing process for DVMs. This role ensures that all DVM credentials, licenses, certifications, renewals, references, and documentation are collected, verified, and maintained in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. The position works closely with DVMs, internal employees and departments, and external organizations to ensure timely and accurate credentialing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•    Manage the credentialing and recredentialing process for DVMs in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
•    Collect, review, and verify DVM documentation including licenses, certifications, education, training, malpractice insurance, and work history.
•    Maintain accurate DVM records and credentialing files in electronic databases and credentialing systems.
•    Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, DEA registrations, and other required credentials to ensure timely renewals.
•    Communicate with DVMs to obtain missing documentation and ensure completion of credentialing files.
•    Perform primary source verification of credentials in compliance with accreditation standards.
•    Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
•    Generate reports and maintain logs (live sheets) related to credentialing status and timelines.
•    Provide administrative support related to credentialing activities as assigned.
•    Office Administrative duties

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s in business administration and/or human resources
•    3-5 years of Administrator of office manager experience
•    3-5 years of Project Manager and/or HR generalist duties 

Required Skills & Abilities
•    Experience with credentialing software and provider enrollment systems.
•    Familiarity with healthcare accreditation standards and payer requirements.
•    Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow established processes.

Physical Requirements
•    Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
•    Ability to lift 10–15 pounds as needed.
•    Ability to access and navigate organizational facilities.
