What does a part time creative strategist do?

A Part Time Creative Strategist develops and implements creative ideas and campaigns for brands or organizations, usually working fewer hours than a full-time employee. They collaborate with marketing teams, designers, and clients to craft messaging, visuals, and overall strategies that engage target audiences. Their responsibilities often include market research, brainstorming sessions, campaign planning, and presenting creative concepts, but on a flexible or reduced schedule. This role is ideal for those seeking work-life balance or supplemental income while still contributing high-level creative input.

How does a part time creative strategist typically collaborate with other teams to develop effective campaigns?

A part-time Creative Strategist often works closely with marketing, design, and content teams to brainstorm and refine campaign concepts. Despite limited hours, they regularly attend strategy meetings, provide creative direction, and ensure alignment with brand objectives. Communication is key, so they usually rely on project management tools and scheduled check-ins to stay in sync with full-time staff. This collaborative approach allows them to contribute innovative ideas while maintaining workflow efficiency.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time creative strategist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Part Time Creative Strategist, you need a strong background in marketing, branding, and creative concept development, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, analytics tools, and creative software like Adobe Creative Suite is typically required. Outstanding collaboration, adaptability, and persuasive communication skills help you connect ideas with client goals and team members. These abilities are crucial for developing effective campaigns that drive brand growth and resonate with target audiences within limited timeframes.

Job description

About Saylor

Saylor is an LA-based creative agency for entertainment brands and brands who seek to entertain. We are an office filled with passionate people who love to work together to develop authentic, sharable content that inspires fans across the internet. We represent a wide range of clients including Netflix, Disney, Amazon, Hulu, Paramount+, and more.

We're a close-knit team of creatives who value collaboration, quality of work, innovation, and most importantly: being social. In the office, we aim to create a supportive environment where individuals are encouraged to work together to problem-solve for our clients.

Position Overview

We are seeking a sharp, strategic Part-Time Writer & LinkedIn Strategist to support a high-profile B2B client. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to turn complex ideas into compelling, scroll-stopping content-and knows exactly how to make LinkedIn work for executive thought leadership.

You will partner closely with our internal team and client stakeholders to craft consistent, high-impact LinkedIn content that builds authority, drives engagement, and supports broader brand narratives.

Location and Salary

This is a part-time role of 5-10 hours per week with a monthly salary of $3000. This is a contract position through the end of February 2027, with the possibility of extension. This is a remote position and must be based in New York or New Jersey.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Write and deliver up to 5 LinkedIn posts per week aligned to an executive voice and overarching content strategy
  • Translate complex, technical, or "dry" subject matter into engaging, accessible, and insight-driven content
  • Self-edit rigorously to ensure every post is sharp, concise, on-brand, and ready for client review with minimal revisions
  • Provide clear creative direction for accompanying visuals (to be executed by our in-house design team)
  • Collaborate with internal strategists and account leads to ensure messaging aligns with campaign goals and brand positioning
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders to gather input, refine messaging, and present content recommendations
  • Stay current on LinkedIn trends, platform updates, and best practices to continuously optimize performance

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B writing and executive thought leadership (portfolio required)
  • Demonstrated success managing or contributing to high-performing LinkedIn content
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to self-edit quickly and effectively
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn strategy, including content formats, hooks, and engagement tactics
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage deadlines within a part-time (5-10 hours/week) scope
